Nettie's Holiday Stollen - A Tradition Continues

We were honored to have our Holiday Stollen included on Edible Long Island's list of Long Island's Best Holiday Desserts. With so many great bakeries on Long Island, we are in some great company!

While our bakery first opened it's doors in 2014, the history of our stollen goes back much further. Although our owner, Joe, closed his first string of 'Hometown Bakeries', he never lost the urge to bake.

Every Christmas, our family would bake cookies, breads and, most importantly, stollen out of a converted wood shop. On Christmas Eve, we would drive around Center Moriches delivering them to family and friends. People came to look forward to receiving their Holiday Stollen each year.

When Joe and Jeanette opened Nettie's in 2014, they knew that stollen would be a big part of every Christmas season. Now, each December, we bake hundreds of stollen for the bakery. While we don't have the time to hand deliver them on Christmas Eve, those same friends and family continue to visit us each Christmas season, seeking out their stollen. We're thrilled to continue sharing this tradition with our friends, family and the rest of the community!
